This custom-designed flute stand is created to resemble a painter's paint palette. The base is 1" wood and stained with a darker wood stain. The dowels to hold the flutes are painted to resemble paint brushes, each with a random color of paint that the brush is being dipped in. There are 10 dowels, with enough space between each to hold a flute or similar instrument. This can also be used as a decoration by itself. There are 5 1/2" dowels and 5 1/4" dowels, spread out around the piece. The dowels are glued and gently hammered into place. Two black vinyl flutes decorate the piece, and orange vinyl words complete the look. The quote reads, "Great art is as irrational as great music - It is mad with its own loveliness." ~ George Nathan
This piece measures 11.5" x 9.5" and is 12" tall (the dowels are 11") The flutes pictured are examples and are NOT included with the stand.
